Governor to Present Greenbrier Resort Owner With Distinguished West Virginian Award
CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Gov. Joe Manchin will honor Greenbrier Resort owner Jim Justice by presenting him with a Distinguished West Virginian Award during this week’s Greenbrier Classic activities. This is one of the most prestigious awards a governor can bestow upon a West Virginian and will recognize Justice’s many accomplishments and unwavering commitment to the great people and state of West Virginia.

Governor Manchin Announces a 3.5% Interest Rate by the West Virginia Housing Development Fund
CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Gov. Joe Manchin has announced that the West Virginia Housing Development Fund is offering a new mortgage program for West Virginia families that includes a 30-year fixed rate loan at approximately 3.5 percent. The program also includes a zero percent down payment and closing cost assistance loans.

WEST VIRGINIA VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENTS RECEIVE BROADFORM COVERAGE FROM BRIM
Gov. Joe Manchin today announced West Virginia Volunteer Fire Departments (VFDs) will receive broadform insurance coverage through the Board of Risk and Insurance Management (BRIM) effective Sept. 1, 2010, through June 30, 2011.
