To commemorate U.S. Sen. Robert C. Byrd becoming the longest-serving Congressional member in history on Nov. 18, 2009, Gov. Joe Manchin is joining members of the Legislature, congressional staff members and fellow West Virginians to pay tribute, celebrate and recognize the many accomplishments of the state’s senior senator.

Governor Announces Recipients of 2009 Clean Communities Award
|
Governor Joe Manchin and West Virginia’s Make It Shine Program today announced the six winners of the West Virginia Make It Shine Clean Community Award. The award is presented annually to municipalities across the state for their extraordinary efforts to beautify and clean up their respective communities.
