GOV. MANCHIN AND STATE FINANCE LEADERS DISCUSS WEST VIRGINIA’S FINANCIAL CONDITION AT WEDNESDAY NEWS CONFERENCE
CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Gov. Joe Manchin, State Treasurer John Perdue and State Auditor Glen Gainer on Wednesday joined leaders from state government finance agencies to discuss West Virginia’s current financial condition, with particular attention toward the state budget and investments, in light of recent changes to the U.S. stock markets and the financial bailout plan discussions in Congress.
Gov. Manchin said West Virginians have a lot of questions about how the state may be affected by the national economy, so the news conference was intended to answer some of those questions.
