WV First Lady Gayle Conelly Manchin First Lady Gayle Conelly Manchin

Welcome to my homepage and thank you for visiting. I am most honored to server as the 34th First Lady of West Virginia. Like many of you, I continue in my effort to balance several roles in my life - wife, mother, grandmother, educator, volunteer, and friend. As the Governor's wife, one of my top priorities is to serve with dignity and pride as hostess of our beautiful new home, the Governor's Mansion, and to preserve its historical integrity for posterity. As the First Lady, I will be tireless in my efforts to support my husband's endeavors and to level the playing field for every child in West Virginia through a life-long seamless education. I will also work to raise awareness of many issues that affect our children and families in their communities. However, I cannot do this job alone; I ask for your support, your ideas, and your enthusiasm. You have been such an inspiration to both Joe and me throughout our work across West Virginia, and I ask for your continued commitment. Together, we can create a more connected and empowered West Virginia of which we will all be proud.
